Genetic amniocentesis - Done using sterile techniques, possible indications include, diagnosis of genetic syndromes like Down's (T21), hereditary conditions and diagnosis of fetal infections. An amniocentesis involves removing a small amount of fluid with a needle, for testing in the lab.
Fetal NST can be required as part of fetal surveillance in pregnancy.
Indications include decrease fetal movement and Fetal Growth Restriction .
A normal fetal NST test is reassuring of a well fetus.

Saline Infusion Sonography (SIS) - Done to assess uterine cavity for any space occupying lesions, such as polyps and or fibroids. It is also used to determine the shape of the uterine cavity which is useful with infertility concerns.
Sono-Hysterography (HSG) - Done to assess tubal patency, a procedure to aid in the investigation of infertility.
This procedure is done by using Ex- Em foam.
